Global Alternatives for Young Actors
Présentation du projet
Our lifestyles and consumption patterns are leading humanity into a dead end. Humanity is living "on credit" by depleting limited planetary stocks (1.75 planet Earth - day of overshoot in 2019: 29 July).
The expansion of human living space is leading to a collapse of biodiversity.
Soil depletion and various forms of pollution are deteriorating our living environment and that of all living things.
CO2 emissions into the atmosphere are increasing the greenhouse effect and leading to climatic disturbances that threaten the survival of humanity.
Those most affected will be young people, the very people we are training... It is therefore necessary to bring our young people, who will be the citizens of tomorrow, to an awareness and to take on an active role as citizens of the world.
This is our main objective: to federate a maximum of young high school students from Europe and the world so that they create a network, a planetary assembly of young people for an ecological transition of our societies.
In concrete terms, this global objective can be broken down as follows
Promote the effective integration of climate change education in educational programmes
Identify teaching materials and good practices in climate change education based on field experience and scientific work and intensify their dissemination through information and communication technologies.
Make comparisons between different regions, to identify similarities and differences within and outside the EU
Stimulate curiosity and creativity through active participation across all disciplines (science, literature, history-geography, foreign languages) and develop critical thinking through research and reflection on our lifestyles and consumption patterns
Recognise the diversity of our cultural heritage as a tool for creating bonds of friendship and respect.
To become aware of and understand the living environment of other European and global students.
To organise joint actions between partners and/or other non-EU institutions in order to raise awareness of the urgency to act.
Develop teamwork through international cooperation.
To bring the younger generation closer to the natural environment.
To encourage the emergence of an ecological awareness and a European and world citizenship for the preservation of the planet.
The following concrete results are envisaged
Creation of a world "parliament" of young high school students. A session of this parliament will be held at each meeting. The results and reflections of this assembly will be transmitted to national and international actors and decision makers.
Creation of a webTV (internet site) fed by the work of the pupils of the partnership (video-clips, podcasts, reports).
Setting up a digital space for virtual exchanges (Minecraft, 3D vison...)
Creation of a charter for the young generations for a sustainable world.
